01 Technologies

The technologies we build with

Tailwebs builds with Flutter, React Native, Android and iOS for mobile; Python, Node.js, Ruby on Rails and PHP for backends and web apps; and LLM integrations for AI features. Each technology page explains when we choose it, what a project in it involves, and how to hire a developer who works in it.

02 Find your stack

Do we work in your stack?

Yes, if it is one of these nine, across mobile, backend and web, and AI.

Mobile

Backend and web

  • Python

Backends, data pipelines, scraping, reporting and automation.

  • Node.js

APIs and real-time features, for products where many users are connected at once.

  • Ruby on Rails

Data-rich platforms with admin review workflows, built to change for years.

  • PHP

Content sites your team edits every day, and new features on the PHP or WordPress site you already run.

AI

The NFTR Assistant chat panel open on the NITI Frontier Tech Repository home page
  • AI and LLMs

Answers and extraction from your own documents, added to a new or existing product.

03 Pick by project

Pick by project, not by stack

Know what you are building, but not which technology fits? Find the row that sounds like your project.

New builds

  • The product's value is in processing data, scraping or reporting

  • Many users are connected at once and expect live updates

  • One codebase for both app stores, with a custom brand-led interface

  • Your web product or team already works in React or TypeScript

  • The app depends on device hardware, background work, wearables or budget Android phones

  • The app depends on Apple-only features or in-app subscriptions

  • A data-rich platform with admin review workflows, built to change for years

  • A content site your team edits every day

  • Answers or extraction from your own documents

Existing apps

  • An ageing Rails app, or one whose developers have moved on

    Ruby on Rails

Read what a takeover and an upgrade involve.

  • A PHP or WordPress site on an old PHP version

    PHP

Start with the version check on the page.

  • A React Native or Flutter app that is behind on versions

    FlutterReact Native

Read the matching page's upgrade section.

  • An Android or iOS app that is behind on store rules

    AndroidiOS

Read the matching page on store releases: Google Play release on Android, App Store review on iOS.

04 Not sure?

Not sure? Start with discovery.

If more than one row fits, we pick the stack in a Discovery Sprint, based on your users, features, budget and the team who will maintain it.

05 FAQ

Questions about our technologies.

What technologies do you use?
We build with Flutter, React Native, Android and iOS for mobile; Python, Node.js, Ruby on Rails and PHP for backends and web apps; and LLM integrations for AI features.
Do you build native or cross-platform apps?
Both: we build native Android and iOS apps and cross-platform apps in Flutter or React Native, and settle which one during discovery.
How do you decide which technology to use for my project?
We decide in discovery, from your users, the features the app needs, your budget and who will maintain it; the Discovery Sprint takes 2–3 weeks.
Can you work on an app that's already built in one of these technologies?
The Python, Node.js, PHP, Ruby on Rails, Flutter and React Native pages explain what upgrading or taking over an existing app in that stack involves; the Android and iOS pages cover keeping an app current on the stores.A takeover starts with a code review of the app, its tests, its accounts and its store set-up.
Do you work in technologies not listed here?
Possibly. Tell us the technology, and we'll say in discovery whether we're the right team or another team would serve you better.
