01 FMCG and consumer brands

D2C app development and trade tools for FMCG and consumer brands

Tailwebs does D2C app development for FMCG and consumer brands: stores, loyalty apps, distributor ordering tools and sales dashboards. We built the portal and apps for Drools, a pet food brand, and the full IoT ecosystem for Homa's smart atta chakki. We plan for Indian e-commerce, labelling and advertising rules, and for the low-end phones retailers use.

02 What we build

D2C apps, loyalty and distributor management apps

Two sides of one brand: the trade, where distributors, retailers and field reps order and sell, and the consumer, who buys, scans and comes back. One team designs, builds and markets, so the product, the campaign and the data connect.

What changes for you
  • A direct line to consumers. D2C storefronts and loyalty programmes that collect first-party data with consent.

  • Easier ordering for the trade. Distributor and retailer apps that cut phone and WhatsApp order chaos.

  • Sales visibility. Dashboards joining secondary sales, schemes and field activity.

  • Campaigns that sell. Performance marketing tied to the store and loyalty data.

03 Consumer-brand work

Have you worked with a consumer brand?

Yes. We built the portal and apps for Drools, a pet food brand, its whole digital ecosystem, which lifted its sales by 15%, and the full IoT ecosystem for Homa's smart atta chakki. We also built brand websites for group and brand clients.

04 On the retailer’s phone

Will retailers and reps actually use it?

They will when it works on their phone. Trade apps succeed or fail on the retailer’s phone, not on the brand’s laptop: a basic Android handset, a patchy network, a language that may not be English and five minutes between customers.

  1. The catalogue, in their language

    Designed for

Retailers who read a regional language first.

  2. Schemes at the moment of ordering

    Designed for

Retailers who decide at the counter, mid-order.

  3. The credit limit, before checkout

  4. Saved offline, synced later

    Designed for

Shops and beats where the network drops.

  5. A WhatsApp confirmation

05 Rules we design for

What must our product pages, loyalty data and trade invoices comply with?

Rules on what a product page must declare, what food listings must show, how a D2C store sells and advertises, how consumer data is collected and how trade invoices are issued. We plan the product around them; your adviser confirms what applies.

06 FAQ

Questions about D2C and trade apps.

How much does a trade-ordering or loyalty app cost?
Our draft ranges: the MVP Launch package, for one core flow such as retailer ordering or a loyalty programme, is ₹8–25 lakh, more with ERP, marketplace or distributor integrations. A sales dashboard is the Intelligent Dashboard package, ₹4–12 lakh, and upkeep, with growth marketing as an option, is the Care and Growth plan, ₹50,000–2 lakh a month. Every package is on pricing.
Can you connect the app to our ERP or distributor management system?
Yes, we integrate through the APIs or exports your system supports and agree the sync rules with your IT team.
Will retailers actually use a trade ordering app?
Adoption is higher when the app works on basic Android phones, in local languages, with WhatsApp updates, so we design for that from the start.
Does your loyalty app development include QR-on-pack rewards?
Yes, each pack can carry a unique code that consumers scan to register a purchase and unlock rewards, with checks that stop a code being reused. The loyalty app we built for Drools, a pet food brand, offered deals, samples and vet connections.
What do e-commerce rules require on our product pages?
Indian rules set the declarations packaged goods must carry, and food products also carry FSSAI details; the current rules are at consumeraffairs.nic.in and fssai.gov.in. Your adviser confirms what your products need, and we build those fields into the product template, so every page carries them.
How do you handle consumer data and consent?
We ask for consent in plain words at sign-up and make opting out as easy as opting in. We build consent capture for the DPDP Act, and data sits in accounts you own where possible. The current text is at meity.gov.in.
Are you a retail software company in Bangalore?
Yes: Tailwebs was founded in Bengaluru, has its office in Domlur, and builds retail ordering, field-sales, loyalty and sales-dashboard software for consumer brands across India.
Do you work as an FMCG packaging design agency?
We do not design physical packaging. We build what the pack links to, such as QR-on-pack rewards, product-information pages and campaign landing pages.
