Made to measure, online: 500+ orders in the first month.

Saurrate is a designer-fashion marketplace with made-to-measure options for size, colour, sleeves and necks. Tailwebs designed the shopping flow, including the made-to-measure choices, and built the e-commerce site, which is no longer live. Our design work led to 500+ orders in the first month.

03 The moves

What we did, move by move.

  1. Move 1

    Wireframes before visuals

What we saw A marketplace has many designers and many garments, and the layout had to work before any colour was chosen.

What we did We drew the home page, the designer page and the product page as grey wireframes first.

The effect Each page layout is drawn in grey boxes, without colour or photos.

  2. Move 2

Browse by designer and by garment

What we saw A designer marketplace is browsed by designer as well as by garment.

What we did We designed menus for designers, women’s clothing, custom designs and accessories, and filters for colour, designer, size and price.

The effect A shopper can reach a garment by designer, by category or by filter.

  3. Move 3

    A made-to-measure flow

What we saw Some garments need to fit one person, so size, colour, sleeves and neck have to be choices a shopper can make.

What we did We designed the made-to-measure flow: a product page with size options, neckline designs and sleeve designs, and a Customise now button.

The effect A shopper can order a garment shaped to their own choices.

  4. Move 4

Sign in, or carry on as a guest

What we saw A shopper may not want to make an account before ordering.

What we did We designed a sign-in page with a guest option below the sign-in form.

The effect A shopper can carry on without an account.
